This problem was resolved only after I reported this abuse to the Dept of Transportation and within days I was given a voucher to use without penalty but not for 12 months like Virgin or Delta. US Airways is a very abusive company and has no respect for customer.

They just spent lots of money advertising false hopes. Recommend not to use this Air Line if possible.

Due to a very serious operation I was unable to fly and use ticket. I submitted a doctors excuse and explaination to request a refund or voucher.

USAIR would not issue a voucher and wave the penalty. Instead they said I could use my current tickets value towards the purchase on another, the value is 109.00 yet requested me to pay the 150 charge to change my ticket. This answer I received after 60 + days and three requests. Delta and Virgin American issued a voucher at once without any proof and no penalty.

USAIR just does not care about its customers. Also USAIR has no way to contact customer service.

USAIR should not be in business.

Monetary Loss: $109.
