Each year it provides its air transportation services to 47,1 mln passengers. The headquarters of the company are in Tempe, Arizona. Before 1997 US Airways were called USAir. This is the largest low-cost airline in USA by the terms of destination that is why filling the seats on its flights is not a problem. US Airways connects 240 different destinations in Central and North America, the Caribbean Basin, Hawaii and Europe. Airlines are companies which provide passenger and cargo transportation services using air planes. To offer such services each company has to have a relevant license or certificate. Airlines vary from those operating one plane to transport mail or cargo, to full-service international companies maintaining a fleet of airplanes. They distinguish between the following categories of airline services: domestic, intra continental or international, and intercontinental. Charter flights with scheduled services are also available. Airline personnel consists of pilots, flight engineers and flight attendants. Each plane has its own carrying capacity, thus there is a fixed seat number on the plane and passengers are allowed to have limited hand luggage with them. Other luggage goes separately in the luggage compartment. Onboard, passengers are offered drinks, snacks and rugs which are included in the price of the ticket. Before, during and after takeoff, flight attendants provide the passengers with the rule to be stick to in the plain.
